    If there is no rush to file-meaning, you can put it off for a year then, go a little crazy.
    If some of this would definitely retire those SL's I'd do it. A trustee is between a rock and a hard place on a priority debt like that. If they claim a preference issue, they try and recover the money you paid from the creditor. In this case, the Dept. of Ed. or whomever will tell them tough luck.
    For sure, let your lawyer know what you're thinking.

      Let's see, $4 gas = $2 gas of 2000 (inflation), so $8000 = $4000 (year 2000). Nah, too little for my hand$$... Go ahead, spend them all anyway!... .. and stimulus check ($600) = 2 full grocery carts + 1 full tank of gas today!
