Looked all over here and could not fined the answer that I need....I have been married for 4 years and all major debt is only in my name the house that we want to keep is only in my name is there going to be any negative effect to my wifes credit sence we are married or is it all on me.... dont know if it matters but we live in florida and she does not work goes to school and takes care of the kids...thank you again

As long as FL is not a communal property state you should be okay .

Florida is not a communal property state.

I am married in Florida and I filed alone. No issues came up as a result.

Did your wife charge any of the debt? Or was the debt existing before marriage?

it is all post marriage debt but all cards are in my name the only card that she could use as a authorized user i have a email from that company saing she has no financial responcibility(?) to the debt so I just wanted to check with you all to make sure I was going to be 100% in the clear..thanks again

most of my debt i listed my sig-other as an authorized user, no issues but by the time i filed, i had the creditors take her off (just in case).
