Survived my 341 meeting this morning

I was the second one called, trustee asked about 20 yes/no questions and that was it.I felt bad for the couple who was getting $2100 for back for their simulus package. They just had twins and the trustee wants the check.

This is for anyone who has their 341 meeting in the Indiana Northern district. The trustee wants any checks over $1200 sent to him.The trustee was nice by the way.

Glad your meeting went good! bet your relieved its over.

Whats really gets to me hearing that the trustee wants anything over $1200 is that those are the people with children. The max is only $1200 for married couples. Each child under 17 is $300 above that. These trustees know this by now. Maybe its just me but I wish the trustees used more compassion in this situation and just take the first $1200 which has nothing to do with having children.
Thanks for sharing! and again congratulations that you are through your 341!!!

        Congrats on your 341

(I know most folks will be angry with this but I've long felt the tax system unfair, those with children use more resources not less of our nation and thus should have to carry an equal if not greater burden than the childless....just my opinion....)

We are all entitled to our opinions. No one will be angry. But I always feel sad for people who really dont understand a subject yet take on an opinion without seeing the entire picture. Yours is quite obviously from someone with no children. Sure our children may be using more 'resources' but the parents of these children are paying for it. We pay a large amount of 'extra' tax at the store each time we go shopping. I could give a million different examples, if you would like. My personal opinion (we agree on this) is the tax system is unfair. Its unfair because it is definately not a true reflection of how much money and taxes a parent spends on a child. So they give us a child tax credit. Wow that might cover 3 car rides out of 300 in year back and forth to school, sports etc.

The bottom line is... these children grow up and who do they become? yep you guessed it. A tax paying citizen just like you.

Sorry Mike! I didnt mean to hijack your thread. Did you get to keep your stimulus/

Wow- such ignorance. I hope it is one of my children that cures your disease when you get sick or wipes your ass and tucks you safely into bed at the old farts home. Children do grow up to be adults that do some amazing things so it would be nice to give their parents a little break while they are busy getting them there.

Congrats, Mike!! Glad all went well- welcome to the 60 day club!
