Does anyone know what the federal allowable childcare expense is?

I don 't think there is an IRS established number for child care. I suppose it might be under MISC according to them but that's to low. You might could compare what you spend to other cases in your area and see where you fall.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer

I don't think their is an IRS standard for child care. I think child care is one of those expenses that you simply put down your actuall expense and that is what you are allowed assuming it's not outrageous.
gymbofreak - I know alot of people around here who pay close to that. I got very blessed and found a great home daycare that takes my two kids (5 and 2) for around 700 a month. However, I know that most of my friends pay that for just one kid. I'm in South Dakota.Filed: 10/26/2006
