    Sched. I & J

I'm about to turn in the paperwork to my new atty.

    I finally did sched I and J.

My wife has been in and out of work. My income varies being self employed.

I based our monthly income on the total we had been paid in the last six months and divided by 6. Is this ok for shed. I? I broke down all of the taxes etc also.

Looks like we are -$1300 a month. Should I go back to sched J and scale down a bit....to what we plan to start saving on and cutting out?

Should I try to get closer to being -$200 or just over @ $50?

I need a copy of the means test. Can I get it online somewhere?

    Means test = http://www.uscourts.gov/rules/BK_For...22A_0108v2.pdf

As for your expenses I'd report them as they actually are, with regard to the allowable expenses for your area, as well as federally acceptable expenses. Example, you may pay more than what is considered allowable expense for rent for your area, but it does not change the fact that this is what you have to pay each month. I'm no expert but my understanding of the process is you want to show that you're not extravagantly living above your actual means.

I'm hoping lrprn or one of the other helpful people here will come in and make it all really easy and clear for you - hope I haven't confused..

You have not confused me...thanks for your help.

I am filing due to a failed c-corp business. Most debt is business debt; therefore, I am supposedly not subject to living by the IRS table. I do however want to make sure there isn't soemthing that I might miss.

      Thanks again.
