    We are FINALLY Filed!! 341 Hearing date set!

    HI there everybody...

    Just wanted to check in and let you all know that things are GREAT!!!!

    We were officially filed last wednesday, and got our 341 hearing date the same day via e-mail from our attorney.

    Our 341 is Tuesday, May 6th at 3:30pm.

    I did ask our attorney if she'd heard the low down on the rebates being issued. She did tell me that one trustee is taking them, period. She told us not to make any plans for the money. Our response that it was a small price to pay for the total debt we are getting out from under $152,000, including home and vehicle loan, medical, credit card debts.

    I have to tell you all THANKS!

    I have not felt the need to be online every second of the day, watching and worrying. This has been such an empowering time in our lives. We got the knowledge here from everyone, applied it to best meet our needs and came out GREAT!!! This has decreased the stress level of the process tremendously. You are all to be commended.

    We'll be in touch regarding our 341 process and discharge when it goes through.

    I know what you mean. My wife was reluctant to file because of the stigma that if you file you're cheating the creditors. We finally filed and she feels so relieved. No more court threats, no more garnishment, Now we just wait and go to trustee meeting and hope for the best.

        WOW. Is $1200 enough for a trustee to go after if you owe $152k?

          Good Luck Broke Couple. My 341 is the same day at 2pm. I'll say a prayer for us both. I put it off as long as I could, but I knew I needed to file. I can actually answer my telephone again. LOL Now we wait to become part of the 60 day club.

            You know it's funny to be on here on this board. When I really think about it, deciding to file bk is truly the smartest thing I've done for myself in quite some time. So now I'm looking forward to it .... so congrats again.
