Ikes...more checking advance ?'s

Okay, so the BK court called and they have to mail back my money order cuz it was $1 over the amount needed. She said I will get a case number on Monday, the 14th, after they receive the right amount. My checking account advance will come out of my account on the 15th. Will I get this reimbursed if my BK is official on Monday or will I be out of luck? Any ideas??

HHM, the timeline here is a checking account advance from March 18. But my automatic payment went in today and was taken out today. The date filed for my bankruptcy is April 11. I wasn't able to stop that automatic deposit becuase it takes the company I work for 3 weeks. I don't want to be out $400, so I might just call US Bank and ask what's up with it. It sounds like the bank shouldn't have taken out that money since I already filed.

We had the EXACT same thing happen to us with US Bank. We had a checking account advance where the payments come out automatically when our direct deposit hits.

We stopped our direct deposits, but after 35 days of "non payment", US Bank automatically took out our balance owed..a little over $500, which made my checking account negative $500+. Normally, I woudn't care, but our rebate stimulus check is going to our US Bank checking account.

When I called US Bank, they told me the checking account advance wasn't dischargeable. They gave me the run around for awhile, but finally I had my attorney call them. US Bank ended up reimbursing me the $500 they took out of my checking account and my advance is now listed as "bankruptcy".

Good luck! US Bank is hard to deal with!
