OMG - I'm getting my ring back!

I think I'm getting my ring back. The trustee changed my case today from an asset case to NO ASSET!!!!! She was waiting on my tax return to see if that in addition to my engagement ring would be enough to make my case an asset case and apparently it wasn't! She filed that whole report of no distribution thing on Pacer. I called her and left her a msg just to make sure and to ask her when I could come and get my ring!!! So - what do you guys think - that I'm getting it back????

I'm so excited. This is finally almost over! Now I just have to wait to make sure that the US Trustee doesn't object to my discharge due to the material misstatement on the audit. That is set to expire on the 19th so I have a little bit longer to wait on that. After that though I"M FREE!!!

Your not getting your ring back because of taxes. I would bet the Trustee got ridiculed, harassed, and made fun of by their colleagues for doing something like that. How absurd!

Like I mentioned in an earlier post. The trustee was questioning how I can pay for a freakin 6 month Sunday only subscription which cost $54.00 and not ask me about how I paid $2300 to my attorney for filing bk. Sigh!

I am excited for you!! Will pray all is quiet for you for the next few weeks!!!!

UPDATE!!!

It's official. The trustee called today and said I'm getting it back! WOOO HOO! I was too scared to ask her about the stimulus rebate check so I figured I would just wait and find out about that in time. I also didn't want it to ruin my celebration if she said that she was going to take it. I don't want anything to take away from my complete and utter joy right now.

Congrats!!! but please cover your bases.
Please take your ring to a jeweler if it has a good diamond--and make sure--positively sure that it hasn't been replaced with a fake, or a lower grade worthless one.
Call me cynical--but any trustee who would stoop so low should be double checked-I was mortified when I read they took your ring!!!
-make sure you get the name of the jeweler/appraiser that they used--make sure something else fishy didn't happen--there were a lot of scams a few yrs back with fake appraisers and jwelery cleaners taking stones and replacing them--

I'm sure you have every reason to celebrate, not trying to pee on your parade, but since the ring is important to you--take the few minuted and get it tested--even a lot of pawn shops have diamond testers-they're nothing fancy, it's just an electric pen thingy that beeps if the diamond is real.
