    341 meeting and bank statements

    Hello,

My 341 meeting is on April 11th. My attorney told me that I need to send the trustee my bank statements, tax returns, and paycheck stubs by April 4th.

Does anyone know if the trustee will accept online print-outs from my bank account? Or do I need to provide an actual bank statement?

If I have to provide an actual bank statement, then I need to wait for March to end since I filed on 3/4/08. The bank won't have my statements available until the month is over, obviously.

    Thank you.

If your bank statement cycle ends on March 31, for the month of March, just take that, and any other months before that. On the morning of April 4 just print out any information that is online pertaining to April 1 through April 3.

Funny you should mention that. The lawyer said that the trustee only wants to know what the balance was in my bank account on the actual date I filed (March 4th). Anything after that is not necessary.

I guess here in Indiana you can't have more than $100 total in your bank account(s) on the date you file. It's a silly rule.

Indiana allows $300 - I just filed Friday. I had to take my balance to my attorney too on the day that I filed.

That rule is stupid b/c you could just withdraw the money right before you go! That's what I did - had to take out $900 to pay the attorney. I got a receipt from the ATM though that just showed my balance, I didn't want to give them the receipt where I took out $900 in cash leaving me with a balance of $230. I thought that might look funny - like I took the money out to hide it from them.
