How do i file a motion to extend the automatic stay?
I recently filed for bankruptcy, and was approved to pay the filing fee in installments.
I miscounted the payments, and missed the last one. My BK7 was dismissed and I received the notice the morning my 1st mortgage holder rushed to sell my property on the courthouse steps at 11am.
I managed to get a new BK7 filing into the court at 9:25am before that sale.
My question is: Is my automatic stay in place, is it for a full term or only 30 days (due to the past dismissed BK7) and if so how do I file a motion to extend, as the dismissal was due to an inadvertent simple error, not bad faith?
