I was hoping to be able to file this month, but unfortunately I can't. If I file in April, will they look at my income for April, or just March and before? At the 341 meeting, will I most likely need to take a paystub for April? We are about $30,000 under the median for Chapter 7, but it is my understanding we can't have very much disposable income at the end of the month or we will be forced into a 13. I will have a raise of about $700 for only two months, but by putting off filing for a month I will be able to file an extension on my dreaded auto.

It depends on the jurisdiction. It is something you should ask a lawyer about. Remember on the forms you take the last 6 months of pay stubs, double it and then put that as yearly income at least from what I remember. So by delaying it it could show that you are making more money.
One thing you could do though is schedule an eye doctor appointment, dentist checkup, etc to deal with the excess money. It is an expense they generally don't look at to hard since it is considered routine to have them. Otherwise check the cars and see if one needs new tires.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
