how can I confirm this to be done?

on my pacer it says I need the Debt Education certificate. I also got a notice in the mail this week saying the same. I, however, did do this on the 8th of feburary and faxed a copy to my lawyer. i called monday and he said it was taken care of. how can I confirm this? how will it look on the pacer when it is taken care of? thanks

Cetiya, the debt ed certificate is filed with Form 23 and will appear in PACER as another filing, just like the pre-bk credit counseling certificate or the BNC Certificate of Mailing or the Statement of Social Security Number (though you can't open that one) or any other filing that was done after your initial petition. If you go to the Docket Report, it will be entered like this:

Certification of Completion of Instructional Course Concerning Personal Financial Management with Certificate of Debtor Education Provided by Agency Attached. Date Course was Completed: February 28, 2008. Filed by Debtor Cetiya. Entered March 5, 2008 by Emily Paralegal.

If you don't see this in PACER, it hasn't been done, regardless of what the lawyer says. He may have done it and it's still sitting on his paralegal's desk waiting with all her other stuff to be entered into ECF (PACER). But it ain't done til it's filed, and when it's filed it'll look like the above. Hope this helps.
