I haven't personally used this site so I can't say too much about it. However, I've seen some discussion about it and it seems like it's legitimate. It's work checking out and reading the terms and consitiond and so forth...
FREE Credit Scores with no Credit Card required and no monthly fees -- ever.
If I find time to read it all and sign up myself, I'll report back. Please do the same...
Right now I personally use a deal through Costco that lets me monitor everything and pull all three reports for $7.49 a month.
Discharged November 2008 100 days after filing no-asset Chapter 7. We intended to let a two-year-old vehicle go back to the bank and reaffirm an inexpensive ten-year-old SUV and our home mortgage. In the end we surrendered ALL of our vehicles and reaffirmed NOTHING. We'll "ride through" our mortgage after the court ruled it an undue hardship.
Good question.
Maybe someone will tell me if I'm wrong, but this is my theory:
If you get a free credit report (which everyone is entitled to once a year), and you find something wrong with it and report that (address spelled wrong, address you never lived at, etc - these seem to be common errors), can't you continue getting free reports to verify those "fixes"? So if you do a "fix" on some minor error every month or two, can't you keep getting free reports to see the results of that fix?
I'd be somewhat wary of a 3rd party web site handling my credit reports... I'd want to go with a major company with lots of recommendations.

Keep in mind that you can get free credit reports, but those free reports do *not* include your credit scores.
You can pay to get one of your credit scores from AnnualCreditReport.com, pay each of the three credit agencies for their respective scores, or pay Fair Issac Corporation for your actual FICO scores (the only real credit scores and the only place you can get all three scores at once) - http://www.myfico.com/

The only place with the real FICO scores are myfico.com or equifax.com(which is your true EQ score). You can also find discount codes to use on myfico that would make the prices 20% or more less.
We got our score from our free credit report, ofcourse, this score was while we paid our cc before we used cash to live on, which paying cc left no money to live on, so we lived on cc, we quit using cc on jan. 12, quit paying on jan. 25 attorney's advice and i know our score dropped. 754 hubby's score, 680 mine. never missed a payment on anything in however far back score keeping goes, now, every card is over 30 and quickly creeping towards 60 days! other then the annoying calls, i feel liberated! we actually do pay cash for gas and groceries, and even though i don't spend much, too scared too, it feels like i am a real person again, no longer a slave to a cc!!!

If you got a score with a free report is not the real score unless it was on Equifax.
so most people here who have their scores listed must be paying for them.
Or they are listing "fako" scores from one of the three credit agencies or an independent company who is not Fair Issac Corporation - the sole owner of the only true credit FICO scores.

If you get your EQ score from Equifax.com, it is a true FICO score.

Yes, Cali, you're right.
Equifax and Fair Issac signed a contractural relationship in 2001 that allows Experian to sell you your real Experian FICO score. However, you will not get the other two credit agency FICO scores from TransUnion and Experian. Only Fair Issac can sell you all three FICO scores.
our credit counseling we did before filing sent us here to make sure we had all of our debt listed for our counseling. it offered us all 3 reports for no cost. simply asked us to either put in acct. number with the card. hope this helps, it cost us nothing. we also got a credit report when we talked to our lawyer, he wanted us to make sure everything we were filing on was included.
