    Chapter 7 and research questions

Hey all, it's getting close to the time now where i can finally afford to pay a lawyer to help me file... I have 2 questions...

My father passed away in November, and I received death benefits from his life insurance, adding up to about $18,000 (which in his will was to be split up 3 ways (amongst my siblings, giving me about 6k)).. How would this affect my filing? (I do not have the money anymore)...

Also, I'm sure some of you can empathize here... how would I go about getting a list of all my debtors and the amounts owed? I have lost track. I heard try using your credit report, but there is one debt that i knew to look for that isn't showing up on there... also, i'd have no idea who to list as the debtor or the address since most of the debts have been sold to collectors...

Any information you could give to me is appreciated. Thank you!

It's too late for me to edit my post, so I had something else I wanted to throw into the mix... I am eligible to trade my car in soon (that's one thing i have been 100% current on)... if i fully intended to reaffirm the car loan right away after filing bk, does the trustee care how new the loan is?
