Filing chp 7 in aug or sept, losing three rental properties and primary residence along the way. Thought that we could buy a small starter home after discharge, but my mort broker says I will have to rent an apartment for 12-24 months bc of the foreclosures. Anyone buy a home after a BK w/foreclosure???

It will take you more like 3 years after foreclosure and bankruptcy. As far as getting a mortgage, in the mortgage world a foreclosure is worse on your credit history than a bankruptcy. If you have several foreclosure, that can hurt you even more.
