Has anyone NOT had to provide bank statements?

I keep hearing about being required to submit bank statements... maybe this varies by state? I asked my attorney if I needed to bring bank statements with me to the 341 and he said no. They didn't need them to file the petition either. Is it possible I won't have to show them at all? Not that I have anything to hide, just curious because everyone talks about it and my attorney never mentioned it.

I'm curious about this too. My attorney didn't want them. Glad at least somebody else has this same question. What district are you in? I'm in eastern TN.

My attorney, as of yet, has not asked me for bank statements but I have 'em ready in case he does.

My lawyer just told me that we will need only a bankstatment that reflects the day that we filed to prove how much money was in the account. We're filing federal exempt though so I'm not sure if it's the same with every case.

We did not have to provide any bank statements in S. California, just the names of the banks where we had accounts.

Sometimes the attorneys themselves want to see them just to see what's doin', I think, but I don't think the Trustees usually care unless they're investigating your case carefully - which is rare.

I provided my atty 6 months of bank statements, 6 months of pay statements and my 07 tax returns (I paid atty with). He will be taking these to the 341 just in case the trusty asks. He told me they rarely ask for them unless you have a difficult case. Then right after the 341 he will return them to me.

I'm in MA. I also had to provide bank names and account numbers, so maybe that sufficed.

In MN I had to provide 6 months of bank statements and get this - three months prior to filing all creditor billing statements (UGGH). I have everything but you wonder why when it is all stated on my petition and credit report which the attny pulled.
