    We're one step closer

    Hello everybody!

Just checking in with you all. I'm glad to see several people have gotten their discharges...yahoo

I filed our taxes yesterday, but due to the Hope Educational Credit we obtained, they can't proccess it until February. It is nice to know that we will get enough back to pay our bankruptcy attorney, AND have a new roof put on our house, and maybe even some food in the freezer.

Anyway, once the money is here...we'll be ready to file. Check in hand...paperwork done...going to hand it all over at our first meeting with the attorney and tell them to git-r-done...

We are also going to shop for a different vehicle tomorrow. We've decided to let the van go back to the bank. We have a 2005 Town & Country with 47000 miles, 5 more years to pay at $433 month. I think we can do better...unless our interest rate is way too high. We're going to try and see what we end up with.

Anyway...I hope to be posting that we've officially filed very soon. Until then, I remember you all in my prayers, as I hope you do for me too. We'll get through this, and be in a better place because of it too!

That's wonderful news! The time will fly by, its almost February now and then once you e-file you can have a check in 2-3 weeks or direct deposit in 9 or 10 days. I can't wait for our tax return; we're using it to pay the lawyer and a bunch of other much needed items including some meat for the freezer!

Hey Lindsay, when you get your meat, consider getting it in bulk (like BJ's or Sam's Club) because when you buy bulk the prices per pound drop *considerably* from what you pay at a grocery store. You may already do this, but if you hadn't thought of it I thought I'd throw it in. Boy, there's gonna be a feast at your house!
