When do you find out on 341

How long does it take from the date of filing to 341?

Well I guess this is a better question - when does the attorney know when the 341 date will be? Is it immediate after filing or does it take a week or two?

I filed in mid-september, and didn't have my 341 until mid-november, so it was almost 2 months, even though they say 30-45 days. It was a couple of weeks from filing before i got my letter saying when my 341 was scheduled. I think it's usually a little faster, but don't be surprised if you are left waiting a while, I think the # of cases has really been increasing so things are getting backed up in some districts.

does anyone know if these can be pushed thru faster if needed? We want to file in march if possible but if it takes 30-45days to get the 341 I'll be full term pregnant (due 4/21) and it might be an issue. this might be enough of a reason to wait until after the baby is born to file after all.

Generally, you cannot MOVE-UP the date of the 341. You can sometimes get the date post-poned, but because of the notice requirements etc, and the fact that many deadlines within the BK code are based off of the 341 date, you cannot move-up the date.

I had my 341 3 weeks after the attorney filed my case, electronically. The attorney gave me the date of my 341 a day or two after he filed.

When I filed paper (pro se) the date of the 341 was automatically assigned by the system right then, along with the case number, and both appeared on the receipt I was given. So it works both ways.
