Car surrendered, now certified letter?

I surrendered my vehicle yesterday as part of my Chapter 7. I dropped off the keys, signed the sheet saying I surrendered it. Today the mail carrier left a ticket to pick up a certified letter from the bank to which I surrendered. Any idea as to what this could be? Do they have to send me paperwork after the surrender?

Thirdbase, there's no telling what it's about until you pick up the certified letter. No harm in doing that, BTW, it doesn't commit you to anything or prove anything just to pick up the letter. If you got a copy of the surrender paper(s), you should be gold no matter what the letter says. It may be as simple as something that crossed in the mail, like them sending a letter regarding the surrender just prior to you actually handing it over. Good luck!

I have a feeling the certified letter is telling you that a summons is forthcoming..Since the vehicle was repo'd already, I wouldn't worry about it, but do check it out...

Turns out it was the intent to sell notification after the surrender.

No big deal.
