    Pacer

I see many of you check Pacer. I was curious to know if Pacer is "Up-to-the-minute" or just updated every day (like at midnight). Just curious....

PACER is a "active" database. Generally, as soon as something is filed in a case...it will appear on PACER within seconds.

...unless you are pro se and filing paper forms, in which case it may take a couple of days. The clerks have to run your papers manually through a scanner whenever they get a chance, so paper filing can take some time. But if your attorney (or the creditors' attorneys for that matter) are doing the filing, yes, it is pretty much instantaneous.
Nolo Press book on filing Chapter 7, there are others too. (I have no affiliation with Nolo Press; just a happy customer.) Best wishes to you!

Ahh, true...if someone e-files a document (i.e. attorney's), those are on PACER within seconds. But if a debtor is ProSe and files hard copy, then it can take a couple days.

But ALL attorney's e-file. (they are required to).
