If the trustee wants more info, he will send a request to your attorney. If the trustee want's to dismiss your case, the trustee will file a Motion to Dismiss and a hearing will be set.
Please try to relax. You are on the downhill side of your BK. If the trustee does anything that is negative in your case, YOU WILL have ample time to respond.
PLEASE PLEASE resist the urge to check PACER everyday.
You are reading too much into your 341 meeting. Generally, if the trustee wants more info, he will give you some inclination at the 341 meeting. But, the trustee was being a jerk and it sounds like your attorney handled it just fine.

HHM is right, sydneynoel. Resist the urge to check PACER.. Just relax and go about your everyday life. If you and your attorney did everything truthfully and honestly, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about, like objections and/or dismissal.
We've all been in your shoes at one point and we know how you feel, so trust us, kick back and relax. The next 60 days will be over before you know it and you'll on your way to your fresh start. Everything is going to be just fine.Bankruptcy History:
Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
Discharged - 02/16/2006
Case Closed - 11/08/2007

I haven't had my 341 yet, but it seems to me that HHM was right, he was just being a jerk. He acknowledged that the info was right in front of him, you didn't tell him anything different, you weren't lacking anything because you would have been notified prior to the 341 AND it would have been continued, not adjourned, if he'd wanted more.
One thing you should be aware of is that bankruptcy court is not like other courts, where strangers come and go and if you piss someone off you may never see them again. In bankruptcy court, it's the SAME people every day working with each other. The trustees, judges, clerks, everybody one big happy family -- probably even have a Christmas party planned. It may actually be that this trustee had some beef with *your attorney* that had nothing to do with you, and he was just engaged in meaningless nastiness. If your attorney says it'll be okay, it probably will be. The facts you related just don't add up to a serious problem.
If you have access to sedatives, this might be a good moment. I truly am not being snarky. It just sounds like you got wound up so tight by this guy's bad behavior that you can't come down. Understandable, but probably very unnecessary. And like HHM said, you're not going to see anything on PACER that will make you feel any differently. I hope your anxiety diminishes soon and you can enjoy being on the downhill slope of all your efforts.Nolo Press book on filing Chapter 7, there are others too. (I have no affiliation with Nolo Press; just a happy customer.) Best wishes to you!

I can certainly see how you feel, I'm a worrier, too, and I'd be upset at a 341 meeting like that too.
But before I even read the other responses, I thought, "This Trustee is just being a jerk. Probably has a beef with your attorney or just got up on the wrong side of bed".
So I would really try not to worry about it. Maybe call your attorney and ask him "what was all that about? Is the Trustee having a problem with my case or was he just being a jerk for some reason?)(If so, why?) Maybe he'll have an explanation that will calm your nerves. Either way, just forget about it.
I also agree that resisting the urge to check Pacer is probably a good thing. The few weeks before we filed I was on this board every day reading threads and although I did learn some things that helped me, on the other hand, it made me more nervous than I needed to be, and after a while I just took a break from the forum for a couple weeks and tried not to think about it at all. I'd say that's maybe where you are at right now, if not with this board, at least with Pacer.
Just make up your mind you are going to try to forget about it and let whatever is going to happen, happen. It's out of our hands, now, there's nothing we can do.
Leading INTO filing, you see, there are things you do want to know, things you can do to present your case, time your case, find the best attorney, etc. etc... But AFTER you file, there is really NOTHING you can do except let it ride out and try not to think about it.
Your attorney will inform you if anything happens that you need to know about.
Good luck! I am betting it will all be just fine!Last edited by PaKettle; 12-11-2007, 03:42 PM.<<I am NOT an attorney, my comments are anecdotal only. Contact an attorney for advice>>
