congrads... now a fresh start ...
you can send in a letter with proof if you have it. you can call experian tell them you have proof and its being reported wrong and ask to fax them proof .. or if you disputing to get deletions you wouldnt have proof ... in that case you can just send a letter to their address saying you dispute items and account numbers..
and you want a credit card already? lol j/k try orchard bank or imagine card both have fees. good luckLast edited by aachudneymiles; 11-25-2007, 01:45 AM.*Filed Chp 7 bk 11/13/07 PRO SE :yahoo::yahoo:[x]

Welcome to New Millennium Bank New Millennium Bank achieved the New Jersey State Banking Charter on July 12, 1999, and opened its doors for business one week later. Currently located in Fort Lee, New Brunswick and Palisades Park, New Jersey, as well as Bayside
Im with new millenium bank
$99 processing fee
$300 accumulated into a savings account, once you reach the $300 they will cut you a card. Whatever amount thereafter (increments of $100) will add to your credit limit
$59 annual fee a year .. you must have the account open for at least a year! So far I've accumulated $600 credit limit .. so when I shut this baby down after a year the $600 is mine!
Premier has all those fees and charges (watch the fine print!) by the time they charge you to have one of their cards you are left with the amount you mentioned .. RIP OFF !
Also check out www.Hooters.com .. I've been discharged since last January but had applied for the card near to discharge and got a $1000 limit w/$39 annual fee (something like that) Hooters I guess is very BK friendly (owned by Merrick Bank)
Also you might want to consider opening an account with a Credit Union, in the long run your going to get the best interest rates for loans, etc. (www.mycccu.com). Another forum user in here got a great car loan at 6 1/2% but she has been out of BK for 2 years and some (screen name: cindy____). Plus eventually you can get a decent credit card (I don't thing they have an annual fee!) I haven't been able to get a credit card with them yet, maybe in a couple of years. Right now I have enough. 1 secured card and my Hooters card!
This is just based on what I have done since out of BK. You'll see lots of members in here and lots of examples and advice on starting off the credit!

Ultimately the most effective financial recovery plan after bk is cleaning up your credit reports and the passage of time making on-time payments to your creditors who report to the credit bureaus.
Rather than applying for multiple subprime credit cards with high APRs and high mandatory fees right out of bk, instead get the best secured credit card you can to start the rebuild. Then while you wait for six months to qualify for better cards and better rates, make on-time payments for that card and all your other bills (utilities, etc).
At one year after discharge, unless you are very young and/or have no positive prior credit history, credit scores are typically the same as someone with a boatload of subprime cards. However, you will save a ton of fees you'll have to spend for the subprime cards the first six months out plus not have to make the often wasteful charges on them so you can pay them off every month.
There are members here that will disagree with this approach. I encourage everyone to do your own research into credit repair and form your own opinions.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
