Hey everyone. I have a question regarding listing a storage unit (or even if I should) in Chapter 7. Basically, I lost my house in foreclosure in June, was evicted in July and left the state, but before I did I was able to get a little 5x5 storage locker to keep my books and a few other tchotchkes in until I can afford to get something to bring them down in, like a U-Haul.
Here's the question: Should I even bother with listing the storage unit itself? I intend to list the contents (meager as they are) but the unit itself, I have no idea. Is it a lease? In addition, I have only ever paid cash in person for it -- happy accident, that -- so it's not as if it would ever show up anywhere. I don't want to mislead the court, but it almost seems as though listing it would bring up further questions (like, "I wonder what she's trying to hide up there?") and I would rather avoid the hassles, being pro se.
I appreciate any comments anyone would have on this -- thanks so much!
