Post #6 will get you to the BK Section of PACER.

Pick the appropriate State and District for your area. The Court you'll be filing in. Such as Florida, Central District. Or, Michigan, Western District.

From there, you'll have to flounder around a bit to find cases similar to your situation. You can't just enter "Search" criteria into PACER and have it spit out a list of cases for you to look at. You search by Trustee, Attny, or Party.

As we were Consulting around, I looked at cases filed by different attnys we were interviewing to see how the attnys handled the cases.

On the Main Page of each case, it will tell you if it's a Ch 7 or a Ch 13. Asset or No Asset.

Discharged and/or Closed Ch 7 cases will be 3-4 months or more older. Newer Ch 7's will still be Open.
    Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
    Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
    Closed - 04/2007

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

If your searching for laws, I wouldn't search Pacer... you could get that info on the web for free. You may spend an arm and a leg on Pacer-depending on how much you search. I found lots of pieces of the BK law that I needed just from research on the web.

There is no examples section. Or what I mean is there are no forms on pacer that are there specified as examples.

What most people did is just look up other peoples cases to see what they were using on their schedules.
          Filed: 10/26/2006
          Discharged: 03/05/2007
Closed: 5/19/2008 - Asset case due to balance transfer and income tax refund

Lil...no offense, but based on your posts and the background you have provided, Please stay away from PACER. (I am serious...you should not be messing around with PACER, you are going to end up with $300 plus bill).

It woulda helped if I had put the thread link in there:

              http://www.bkforum.com/showthread.php?t=1011

Post #6 in that thread tells you how to get to your District.

As far as looking at cases similar to your situation,......... It's not simple. You can't just enter search criteria like "Household of 1 and $X/yr" or "Ch 7" cases. You have to look at case by case.

Which as HHM said, can run up quite a bill.
