I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.
Another good thing about being poor is that when you are seventy your children will not have declared you legally insane in order to gain control of your estate. - Woody Allen...
We wore very casual business attire and seemed to fit in. We both wore our wedding bands, but I we left all of the other jewelry at home. (we had listed the bands on our schedules so felt we should wear them). I did not think jeans were appropriate. I used the dress code from when I had jury duty as my rule of thumb.
I just asked my attorney about this and he said to dress "nice" like you would for work. I'm going to have to wear my wedding ring because if I don't I'll have a nice indention on my ring finger and that might look pretty suspicious to the trustee.

If your wedding ring is worth more than your exemptions can protect, then substitute a wide fake gold band or cheap costume ring.
I haven't heard of a trustee using a flashy wedding ring or other bling as a basis to open a fraud investigation, but it wouldn't surprise me if it had happened.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
