I honestly believe that this is a way to keep "certain" people from being able to do anything with their life and keep "the masses" beholden.

We're not physical slaves any more, so what's in place now? Financial slavery with debt.

    Yes, I am skeptical.

Oh....I have no doubts you're correct. The bubble is about to burst for these companies, I am hoping. There is already some potential legislation on the books. At least the issue is being talked about, which tends to be the first step. Look at Senator Durbins S.1561. If you are from Illinois, I implore you to help keep him in office.

My attorney says he sees it often and is quite sick of student loan slavery. He said it's becoming more common. Luckily, I found an attorney who can deal with this sort of thing and who has actually attempted a few adversarial hearings. (Everyone pro bono!) He is convinced this is all going to begin to stunt the economy in a huge way. Think about it, us student loan debtors can't really buy homes, cars or any real luxury purchase. We're too busy paying student loans back to have a real financial future. My credit is too shot because of these loans to buy anything. I couldn't buy a pack of gum on credit.

Here's to hoping the party is nearly over for these loan sharks.
