Yes, lrprn and everyone, I will be around for awhile longer.....I want to experience how long it actually takes to rebuild my credit so I can get the things I did before the filing......I hear it improves a bit after 6 months, and more after a year and then by 2 years back to normal pretty much. But I want to see it for myself and will be sure to share it.

After filing and making sure all my accounts in the bk were IIB and $0 balances, my scores were 584/591/617 in September 2007. I will update these as well. The big improvement starts by not having any new negative items and letting the bk negatives age a little bit.

I'll keep posting, but probably not quite as much, as I am looking at some forums that focus more on the "after discharge" part, raising credit scores, qualifying for better credit cards, etc.

And of course, my case is not likely to close before next spring.
