Do you have online banking? Print them out if possible.

If not, sign up just to get them, I am sure you can get back months.

What check registry? All you have are your statements.

It is not unusual anymore for people not to have a registry, with online banking.

You shouldn't need the registry, bank statements are generally enough.

The trouble with bank statements is that they only show deposits, check #s, the amounts the checks are written for, and amounts of ATM card transactions. While card transactions are usually identified, at least by my bank, as Shell, Dennys, or whatever, checks written do not have any explanation of who you made the check out to and so the trustee might ask you to produce your check register, or get copies of those checks that he/she is asking you about.

correct, my trustee wants registry copies.. i think he is looking for where the checks went and to whom.
i dont keep my balance on the check but, i reconcile online and spread sht. quicken...

anyone else asked to show the register???

cant you get copies of canceled checks that would show what check went where and your bank statement shows the check debit card transactions my bank statements have copies of the actual checks on the back
Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

My bank includes copies of the checks in my statements.

Can you go to the bank and make a request for copies if you don't have them as family suggests. That's what I think you need to do. (I don't really keep a register either anymore do all mine online as well).

I'm sure others have been asked and if the trustee is asking you'll need to come up with something.

                            Hey Seafresh,

Couple of questions for you if you don't mind sharing....
I am self employed also and don't have paystubs to show.

I am giving the lawyer my Profit and Loss statements, my tax returns and bank statements.

Did you give anything else to the lawyer for the business?

If you did provide these docs, why do you think your trustee asked for bank statements and checky registry? Did they say why? Do you think it has anything to do with the lawyer not being fully prepared in his presentation of your paperwork?

I was planning on going through my statements and documenting any income that does not have an explanation on the statement.
For instance, my statement will show merchant account deposits as Visa, MC, etc., but if I just deposit checks, it just shows up as a deposit. Same with cash, shows up just as a deposit.

I am sure the lawyer will explain all the ins and outs of this next week, but was just wondering if you can shed some light on it since you have gone through it.

i think because i own business and i might have transfer funds or moved money around.????? or just formality of requesting.
My lawyer said no big deal. I provided the lawyer my 2006 tax returns. he was less consider about the business, because I filed personal bankruptcy. I have good records and even show i try paying much off to the credit card companies whenever i get paid by my customers..
right now, i have possible buyer and i am hoping the trustee will consider this.

I will wait until trustee ask for more information.. dont want to give too much stuff that he doesn't need. my 2 cents..

only factor against me is community property and how the busines creditors will figure the shares betw. my ex , me and my recent marriage..

                              good luck..
