WooHoo 341 over!!!!!

We had our 341 and it wasnt bad. We do have to amend our petition because they didnt add 3 creditors. The lawyer let his employees have it when we got back to the office to sign the amendments. He told us if it was their fault they would pay the money and they found it when they started looking. Now just have to do the counseling and it is going to be over. November 30 is discharge day.

See? Most of the time it is pretty painless. Sounds like it went pretty good for you. Now you will have the wait until discharge to worry about. LOL Most of the time, nothing ever happens and creditors never object or anything. You're well on your way to a new start and a fresh beginning. Congrats!

Only 2 creditors showed up for other peoples and I think they were chap 13 so they were reaffirming I think. I was nervous because our attorney wasn't there when we got there. He showed 5 min before. We were his only clients there today so he left his office 10 min til and then left as soon as we got through.

OH MY GOSH, GREAT GOING, I can not wait for my turn. Been putting it off and off, but gonna keep reading all the posts about everyones progress and milestones, it keeps me going right now. Have been doing paper work all day to get it all in order, and when I read posts like this, I see light at the end of the tunnel.

The paperwork is the hardest part but if you do just a little bit at a time it will go by a lot faster. Then the feeling of relief when you actually do file is just undescribable. I knew it was coming for around a year and just kept putting it off and it just got worse. I couldn't sleep and I was always unhappy. When we filed, my husband and I took our girls out to eat. For one thing it was late when we get back and we were just so darn tired of everything we just wanted to get out for a little bit.

Pa, here's a list of suggested questions that trustees may ask during the 341 meeting - http://www.moranlaw.net/341_questions.pdf

The questions that trustees ask during the 341 varies by trustee. About the only 100% consistent questions are "State your name and current address for the record" and "Did you bring your social security card and photo ID card?" After that the trustee can ask pretty much any question he/she wants to ask about your finances and financial history.

If you can answer the questions on the linked list, then you're overprepared for 99% of 341 meetings.

Yes our 341 was Oct1 so sixty days is Nov 30.
