    Rewards 660...can they do this??

I am pissed. Please tell me if I have good reason to be.

Last month, Rewards sent me a new card that I needed to activate to continue using my account. Something about private info having been stolen and identity theft, etc.

I never activated it because I was about to file bankruptcy.

Got a credit alert today from Transunion. As of 9/30/07 Dakota State Bank is reporting this card as "collection/charge-off".

    Is this allowed?

    scores as of 8/08 - TU 567 EX 546 EQ 590

A key question first....was there a balance on the original account before the new account number card arrived?
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

    06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
    06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
    07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection
    09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
    08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

    10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

Yes, but it was relatively small. (like $150)

I also didn't make my 9/21 payment because I had already filed. So it took a total of 9 days for them to consider me a "collection/charge off" and slap it on my credit report.

Dispute it with the CRA's and rewards 660 make sure they have it NOTED as bk in your file
Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

actually it should be IIB. Dispute its listing with the credit bureau.
