Here's another solution. Open a paypal account. You can get a verified account after they place two small deposits into your checking account, which you can identify through your banks online service or phone service. Once you identify the deposits to paypal, you can get a debit Master card through them. I get my paper check from my employer, cash it, and give the cash to my son. He puts the money in his bank account and paypals it to me. It is available immediately on my debit card, which I can use to make debit payments or at the store. It is a mastercard that works like any other. The only thing you don't have is checks, or a checking account number. I know this won't help this poster who can't get a paper check, but it works great for me.

Question about money in my checking account

My hubby and I had our checking account at his company credit union, we also had a loan through the credit union. Our attorney advised us to open a new checking account at a new bank before we filed. We were including the credit union loan in the BK and he said they could take the money out of our account. So we closed our account and started at a new bank.9/27/07 Chapter 7 Filed

Hey Southern, I work for the state as well and someone in my office gets a regular check. I'm not sure how she did it, but I can sniff it out if yo'd like.Filed CH7 - 10/13/05;

Thank you VERY much!!! I briefly spoke with someone in Personnel about a paper check when I first started and they said no, but this is encouraging. I will check into it tomorrow. Thanks again.Filed Chapter 7 (Primarily Business Expenses) 04/10/2008 FICO 468 :cry:
