    Repo Car?

    A bill collector just called and told my dh that my credit report will be reported to for his bad debt on his repoed car. I was not on his loan for the car. Can they put that on MY credit report?

    We still have NOT filed his BK

    If the loan is not in your name, no, they cannot put it on your credit report.

    If you co-signed on the loan and both of you default, yes, they can.

    I think. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
