    Beyond irritated

    This is just a vent!

I paid my remaining balance OVER a month ago and I still have not met with my attorney to file. All the paperwork is done, and I am just waiting to schedule an appointment for me to file. I called 9 days ago to find out what the holdup was, and she mentioned that they were waiting on the rest of my payment and then she realized that I had paid it all off, and she promised to call me in a couple of days and I still have not heard anything.

I do not want to drag this out any longer, I am already stressed to the max and worrying about everything. I want to file so I can get the 341 over with so I can finally breathe and get this weight off my shoulders.

They are sopose to be VERY good. I referred two people to them and everything went perfectly, of course they paid their balance before I did.

I want to call tomorrow, but I do not want them to think I am being pushy, but after paying $2,000 that was hard to come up with, I think they should work a little faster. ARRRGGGGGHHHH!

    Thanks for letting me vent.

Call the office in the morning.

You aren't being pushy. You have hired the lawyer for a specific legal service. Explain clearly that you want to file as quickly as possible and want to set the meeting with your lawyer as soon as possible.

Don't wait to see if they will call you. Be proactive. When all is said and done, it's your case, not your lawyer's.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Throughout this entire bankruptcy process, I have learned one thing...lawyers, trustees, etc work at their own speed. I competely understand how you feel.....

Yeah, we hired out attorney in February and it took 4 freakin' months for them to file our case - I definitely had to learn the art of waiting and waiting and waiting!

We hired ours 6 months before he filed us.

I think the only reason he filed when he did was because our pre-BK Certs were gonna expire.

Our attny was definitely of the opinion waiting longer is better. Unless or until you get sued. As long as you aren't being evicted from a Foreclosure or Garnished, he's a Wait, Wait, Wait kind of guy.

Patience does have it's virtues. The more time between last charges and filing, the better.

                I hope he isn't b.s.'ing me!
