You list both the original creditor and the collector.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

You would list both. You would also include both addresses in your creditors matrix. You want both to be notified in order to maximize your peace in the process .

Here's a question about this. What happens if it's passed on to a third party debt collector, and you don't catch it trough the process? Can the third party debt collector still try to collect?
In most US bankruptcy districts, as long as the original debt is listed, then any collectors that may purchase the debt are included in your bankruptcy as well. If a collector tries to collec the debt, then send them a copy of your discharge papers - that's all it takes.

soo what your saying is to..... list original creditor on the schedule then list all other companies the original creditor have sold it to on credit matrix soo they can get the copy of the bk aswell and not contact the debtor?

A few weeks before I filed Discover sent my account to a collection agency. My lawyer recorded it as Discover/Name of the collection agency - note the slash / mark - and listed both addresses. Both - Discover and the collection agency were sent the filing information.
I bet this is the fun part... Just trying to keep a track of that must be a mess.
Oh it was terrible, unbelievable. Because I was so bad off that for months I rarely even OPENED my mail. Kept it in a huge box. I was terrified ALL the time.
I knew I had to get an accurate and complete listing of all debts owed for my attorney and it took me a good couple of weekends to sort through all that mail! That's when I discovered that some creditors had two...three....four collection agencies involved. And some collection agencies were dealing with more than one of my cc companies! Oy vey what a mess!
I'm happy to say, though, I had the best documentation when I saw my attorney's paralegal. She was very complimentary on the organized job I did. Frankly I wouldn't have believed I could do it, with the mess I started with.
