    Just remembered something

    I used my credit card last year to pay for $2500 in federal taxes that we owed........nobody ever objected. Wow did I get lucky.

    It was probably outside the radar . Congrats though
    May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
    July 2nd, 2007: 341 Meeting Held
    September 4th, 2007: Discharged and Closed.

      Why would they object? If a year old? And to pay federal income taxes is certainly not a luxury. SofarinDebt, you should be fine.

        Because federal taxes are nondischargable. Therefore the cc would have had a legitamate cause to object. Luckily it doesn't look like it was caught.

          Yes, fed income taxes are not dischargeble - i know that. But, he used the c.c. to pay the taxes. Only $2,500, over a year ago - the creditor won't dig that deep to find out what was paid on it. Yes, technically, they would have probably objected, but too small an amount and too old.
