    How long after the meeting

as I read other post and notice that after their 341 meeting, either the same day or after the will know if their case is no asset and the trustee is requesting to be released.

My 341 meeting was last week, and still no update. It still states no asset but nothing else. The trustee did not update anyone's case that had a hearing on the same day so I quess that is a good sign.

How long does it normally take and why are some cases here on the board can find out right away and other trustees take longer to update.

mine took about 10 business days so give or take 2 weeks
Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

mine took 11 days...i think it depends on how many cases the trustee has to update and when he does it.....was sure glad when I saw mine....also look for the disch due under status....good luck

It depends on the trustee and the court procedure. I have seen it where the trustee won't officially ask to be released until right before or right after discharge when they issue their "final" report. In any event, it really doesn't matter.

If he waits until the last minute right before the last day to object, how would I know if he still declares us no assets and wants to be released.
