    before 341 meeting

Do you guys ever find anything out before the 341? We are just waiting and wondered if I should check pacer regularly or wait until after the meeting?

You may want to check once a week...just to make sure the court hasn't filed any deficiency notices regarding missing paperwork and to see if any creditor has filed a notice of appearance (all a notice of appearance means is the creditor is requesting to be CC'd on any documents that get filed in your case). But it's not essential that you check daily. Not much really happens between filing and the 341 meeting.

No, if there was any problems before the meeting they would have sent you a letter.
don't loss any sleep over the meeting, trust me it is very very easy and laid back. Yes, you can wear whatever you like just don't dress up, no one dresses up. You can even wear shorts. At my meeting one guy even had holes in his shoes, it was crazy.

I still don't know when to check pacer for youre results, my meeting was on the 23rd and it only states no assets but has not been updated. I think it can take up to 10 days for updates.

don't worry about the pro se situation, almost everyone that was on the the list for the day we had our meeting was pro se, I think only three people for the entire day had lawyers. That made me feel a little better but the funny thing is one of the people that had a lawyer was the dude with tthe holes in his shoes LOL>

HHM is so correct. You should check at least once a week, I forgot about that because if we did not check pacer a few weeks before our meeting I would not have discovered Countrywide Home loans added to my file in error. We never ever owned a home and the last thing I wanted was someone elses claim on my file, I did not want anything to result in the trustee looking any deeper in our file.

ok, thanks everyone. I did check up on other cases for my trustee and it seems like almost all have been discharged except a few - whom didn't file their proof of pre-discharge credit counseling.

I wish there was a way to see if he's mean... I'm very easily intimidated so I'll be a wreck as soon as he looks me in the eye. I'll forget what I'm there for and I'll stumble on my words and it will look like I'm faking because I'll be so nervous. Which, I'm not faking anything but that's just how nervous I am. You know how liars stumble and stutter. I know you said not to worry but it's easier said than done

I soooo know what you mean! I called my trustee today to ask what documents I needed to give him for the 341. He was very nice on the phone but I am still scared to have the meeting. I guess we have to remember that they are probably VERY used to people being scared and nervous in front of them. I would almost think that somebody with a cocky attitude would raise more suspicion. I just keep reminding myself of all the posts that reported short and easy 341s!

Could you tell me how to check my Trustees cases like mine to see how they were discharged. I am new to using Pacer and I actually like checking on things, however I have yet to discover all the things you can do with it. I usually check my balance, what paperwork was added to my file, any changes I made and when they were posted, but I have never checked on my trustee and all the cases he handles. Did not know you could do that. What is the procedure?

Hopefully someone will be able to explain how to do that without running up a huge bill at $0.08/page if your trustee is a very active one with many cases. I've always been scared to try ours myself just for that reason...gulp!

I canceled my account with pacer now that my case is over or else I would get on and figure it out so I could tell you how to do it.
Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

You can go on Pacer, search under your Trustee's name and bring up all the cases on his docket.....

PROBLEM THOUGH IS, if and when you start opening each case you are charged for each page that you look at...... some cases have up to 25 pages in each document filed.

SO BE VERY CAREFUL, or you will have a big bill from Pacer!!!!

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Given this potential for a big bill from PACER, realistically speaking, and if no other issues, won't the Ch 7 discharge be issued within a few days of the deadline for objections?

I thought I heard that some districts actually have the discharge letter generated automatically assuming no objections raised before the date.

What is the usual experience? Within 5 business days of the last day to object?

depends on how backed up the bk clerk and the courts are....you should have document in at the most 2 weeks after last day of objections ( 5-10 bus days ) I know I will be watching for mailman.....
