Bank Statements and credit card statements.

Good evening folks. I would like to ask all of you a question.
I would like to know how many months the bankruptcy courts might ask to go back and look at credit card statements and bank statements? Do they go back further then one year? What is the normal and what is the maximum? Thank you for your help.

They dont usually look at credit card statments. You should wait about 60 to 90 days from the last purchase before you file

normally 6 weeks to 6 months bank statements some trustees ask for them some dont mine did not ask for bank statements.

the trustee normally asks for 3 months bank statements prior to filing, but are able to ask for 6 months prior.
i sent my trustee the 3 months prior and he didn't ask for 6 months prior.

i think so... i asked the same question over a month ago and that's the advice i received.
seach my post history and see who it was... you can ask them directly... i think they were a bk guru

I have not seen anything in my area about card & bank statements yet. What I have come across as mandatory is 6 months of paycheck stubs and 4 years of tax returns.

I suppose from that they can gather all the info that they need to know about me.

Every Trustee is different, my Trustee in Northern Virginia asked for the current month and previous month only. Definitely 6 mos of paystubs. 2 years Tax Transcripts.

There is one member in here who was requested to pull 12 months worth of statements from either his bank or the creditor. And the creditor was going to charge him $5 a statement!

Can they request 24 months worth of statements?

i filed old law, but the trusteee never looked at anything but my bk papers. Nothing!

The one I heard about was 12 months of everything, and any cash advances back 24 months. Depends on the trustee and if the US Trustee asks the info, like they did here.

Is there a place where I can find out what the local trustees typically request as far as bank statements. Is this something I can search on pacer?

Once you file they will assign you a trustee and you could call and ask. There's at least a month between filing and the 341 so you would have time to get them.
