My husband's Job, Please answer

Okay, I never wanted to mention this because I did not want to speak it into existance....

My husband's job (the one that is holding the family together) has been on the line since Last Feb. We have been noticing weird things happening at his job. The word leaked out that he was leaving tomorrow but we don't know if that means he is leaving the department or getting fired.

The department he is working in now is in the process of moving his desk and his cube mate. His cube mate already moved because he was assigned somewhere else but my husband has not been told where he was going to go or at least where his new desk will be. He is pretty much doing nothing today.

At his job, you get assigned to new departments after you interview for them, when the assignment ends you have to find another place in the company but my husband has not been told of anything nor had interviews.

I am sick with worry..... Does this sound like he may get fired. With this company if they fire you the plan it and will not tell you what is going on because of the top security they handle. So he can come to work tomorrow and be not allowed in.

We have our meeting this week. What would this do to our case if he has gets fired??? will they dismiss it??? Neither one of us will be working, even if I try to go back to work the time it will take to close a loan and pay off all the expense to work as a Mortgage Broker will hurt us more. Unemployment will pay the rent.

I am soo scared.... Please all advice welcome.

The signs don't look so great but I'm hoping that it all works put for you. As if filing bankruptcy wasn't enough...
I can't see them dismissing your case - if anything you would be even more unable to pay creditors.
Keep us posted. Sometimes things that seem to be really crappy at the time end up leading you to something even better. The whole window and door thing. You're in my prayers!

Sorry this is happening to your and your family FS. Hopefully your DH will have some idea what is going on by the end of the day. There shouldn't be any impact on your case, if his job is terminated. It definitely will not cause a dismissal.

Your 341 is coming up soon, so be sure you don't forget to get your debtors education cert. that should be the last thing needed.

I keep telling myself that if he does lose his job that means something better is coming along. I just want whatever is going to happen to just happen, not drag on. He is at work doing nothing. I just wondering why this is all happing before our meeting????

Some folks say after, some say before. I am not sure but I don't know if it matters too much. In our case, we did ours in person and there is only one meeting each month, due to a scheduling conflict we could only do the one that ended up being held the week before our 341. It didn't seem to matter, but you can check with your court or trustee and see what they prefer. If it's possible for you to go ahead and do it, go for it and get it out of the way. That will be one less thing you will have to worry about or deal with.

you have 45 days from 341 to complete it but things tend to move fater the faster you get it done. I am sorry to hear this abouth the job situation and will pray for you. No your case will not be dismissed because of a job loss it actually brings your income down so your worse of so you cant pay creditors and so there is no argument that you make too much.

I am hoping for you and your family that they just haven't told your Hubby yet where he's headed. That he'll get that info later today before he leaves or as soon as he gets to work tomorrow.

Some people go ahead and get their Post BK Cert soon after they file. Others wait until after the 341. Some Courts will Dismiss cases where the Cert isn't filed by 45 days after the 341. Other Courts are more lenient as long as the Debtor has the Cert filed before Discharge. Seems pretty much any time you'd like to get yours now, you could go ahead and do it.

Well, my husband just spoke with his "big" boss and he told him that the move is actually Thursday but they don't know where yet. They "had" another assignment but that particular dept. did not have enough funds to bring on another person. So he still does not know where they are going to move his desk or where they are going to reassign him. This is just too much stress to handle less then 38 hours or so before my meeting... Yes, I am counting the hours so it will be minutes LOL I think we are like the first group.

You poor thing, my stomach is churning for you I know how horrible it can be and I hope things work out. At least he knows that he'll be moved instead of fired... at least that's what I got from your last post ?? Keep us updated and God Bless...
