For us it is $100,000 in unsecured credit cards AND $620,000 in 1st and 2nd morgtages.

We have been trying to get our mortgages modified but the bank is still playing hardball and have not wised up to the fact they will now get NOTHING from us and have another empty house on their books. So we will be walking after living here for a year rent/mortgage free.

Must add we tried for 6 mths to settle our credit card debts and the morons laughed at us.

Look who is laughing now. Screw them.

    Case went without a hitch!

For us it will be $50K in credit cards, $46K in personal loans, and $513K in 1st and 2nd mortgages. Dear Lord - those figures boggle my mind when I actually write them down! You'd think we should have something to show for it with those kind of amounts -- where in the world did it all go????

Mine is 150K CC and 725 Secured (1st,2nd mortgage)

I saw one guy at my 341, his debt was 350K cc only. Trustee asked how come, he said he did real estate business and lost everything and is currently staying with a friend.

Tell me about it!! We have zero equity in our home, its now underwater $200,000 thanks to the scumbag banks who gave out the "fog a mirror loans" to people on minimum wage.

When our BK is discharged and closed, and our house reverts back to the bank after Xmas (we have not paid since Oct 09), we will have no debt except a $15k student loan from grad school. We own one car now and will own the other by August (both 2008) models. We plan to pay off the student loan early 2011.

What a relief. We will be glad to start again and enjoy having no debt. We are in NO hurry to buy another bloodsucking house and will never need or seek a credit card ever again.

Over $140K in unsecured. So glad that load is off. It is almost exactly 1 year ago that I finally came out of the illusion of balance transfers, hiking credit card interest rates, and best one of all, the thought that available credit was like having a savings account for emergencies and realized there was no place else to go.

Now paying bills is so fast. I don't miss those days of worrying who had to be paid on what day so they didn't raise my interest rates.

HUGE relief is an understatement! Yes much better now, I remembered from previous posts that Frogger had me beat! Funny thing is I would have been there in another year if I hadn't decided to make it all stop,

Advice: Don't wait to long file, realize it and calmly look at it from an outsiders perspective of where you are at financially and make the decision. My problem is my business still had income coming in so I could have kept robbing Peter to pay Paul for much longer...but for what...

$200,000.00 +- for me most was business related with a personal guaranty
Plus $850,000.00 in secured debt. I am now working a regular job making about $40,000.00 a year.

341 s coming the end of the month and I'm really nervous have three to go too (fl middle district)
wish me luck and I will keep u posted

All chump change (except for the person with 500k in unsecured debt!). Had a client discharge 260,000+ in credit card debt alone. The real question is, how did he get all that in the first place. But it went through, without a hitch.

I don't have exact figures yet, but around 280k in cc debt. Honestly I don't know how I got here. I had no idea it was that much until I started adding it all up. With that much debt, you'd think I'd have a house full of stuff.
