    Quiting a job before filing?

I am employed as a ready mix truck driver. Due to the stress that my present situation has caused me I am scared to go to work. If I lose control of my truck or just lose my concentration for a second I could easly kill someone. I am on a tempory leave of absense but am due to return on Monday. I feel that I am not able to handle the responsibillity and I am considering quiting before something really bad happn. Can a trustee dismiss my bankruptcy filing because I quit my job days before filing?

I would think YES and also NO. He may suspect fraud but he can't make you get a job.

I am in a similar situation. I am quitting because we have to move. If I were you, quit and then wait a couple of months to file. Good luck.

Are you filing a Chp7 or Chp13? If you're fililng a Chp7 and you don't have any assets, and demonstrated a high DTI (debt to income ratio), and complete insolvency you shouldn't have any problem quitting your job prior to filing. But if you want to cover all your bases............get a doctors order telling you to take a leave of abscense.

          Good Luck!
