I'm still say 30 days from getting discharge papers which I expect to get. Today I got a call from a creditor/collection agency and they were pushy pushy. I told them to call my lawyer. But other than that - aren't they supposed to back off now? What are our rights? What do we say?

The 1st time they call - it may be an overlook on their part..... remind them that you filed BK - 2nd time is harrassment under an "automatic stay".
They keep contacting you, notify your attorney or your Trustee....Minny

We told ours that we had filed BK gave them the case number, and the attorneys name and number and if they had any other dealings with us that it should be directed to our attorney and not to us.3/30/07 Petition signed

When the call give bk case number, chapter filed, attorney's name and number (if filed with attorney), district filed in. Write down date and time they called and agent's name.
If they call the second time inform them they are in violation of the stay and could be subject to a 1000 dollar fine because of this. That you are informing your attorney of the violation and may seek restitution through the courts for the harassment. (Most will not call back after this because its a 1000 dollars per violation....) Make a note of date and time.
