I just recently opened a Citibank Access Checking account 2 weeks after filing my bk. Everything has been going ok so far. I have never had a citibank credit card so i dont think they will close my account all accounts are in the positive. Do you think they will close my account? Has anyone ever had a checking with them? I am getting a bit paranoid as my 341 meeting draws closer.

You are soppose to list all you debts, regardless what chapter your filing for (I notice Ch7). The point is to be able to discharge everything and if you want to reaffirm your debt with a particular creditor is up to you! The Trustee may have pulled a credit report and will surely find out that way. Hmmm, maybe others will chime in here soon enough to lend their knowledge. I would be surprised if the creditors DONT close your accounts!?

you can pay a small fee and add these three accounts to your bk and then you can stop worrying. if you tell us who they are with we can maybe tell you if they will close you out anyway.......but don't risk a dismissal by leaving anyone off!! and why go through a bk and come out the other side still in cc debt?Chapter 7 Pro Se....Discharged Feb. 2006

If the credit cards are current no balance they dont get listed because they are not a debt if you owe nothing on themSometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.

Ok i will talk to my lawyer then. To see if i can add them in. My 341 is on the 14th. As far as my main card is a secured BOA Credit card with a low limit, Aspen card, and First national bank cc. Now can the objections start coming in now? or do they normally come in after the 341?7/17/07:Completed: Chapter 7 Filed - Pre-filing true FICO 503/486/489

I think most main objections come after the 341 however they can move to lift the stay prior to it if they have probable cause to do so.
As for the advice the others gave you, you need to amend the schedule and include the additional debts. You would also probably wish to reaffirm the secured card (Which means you need to amend a few schedules). Usually to amend a filing is 29 dollars + whatever your lawyer charges.
If the other two cards had no balances at the time of the filing you don't need to include them.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer

be open
Be open and upfront with all accounts and bills.if you have in good faith listed all the trustee wants then all will go smooth.if something comes up later,it could cause more worry and trouble down the road.Tell them everything.Your attorney needs to know all so they may file your petition
just the right way and it will look much better to the trustee and also not give you more reason not to worry. Be open and i'm sure all will go well. you can do it it will work out fine.CH. 7 Filed 4/4/07 done DISCHARGED AND CASE CLOSED 7/10/07 approved auto loan 3/082005 ford escape 14500

When there's a zero balance on a credit card when you file, it doesn't have to be listed because there's no debt. Some filers leave zero balance cards off their filing hoping that the credit card company won't cancel their card after they file (although 99% of the time the major cc companies (MC, Visa, etc) cancel the card anyway).I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Do a search here for zero balance and see what pops up. You'll find that most of our members' major cards that weren't listed with a zero balance were closed. Department-store and local bank cards tend to fare better in bk and have a better chance of not being cancelled.I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
