I filed Chapter 7 ProSe, Can someone help me with a few questions disc. in 3 days

I filed Chapter 7 in April and my discharge is coming up July 31st 2007 Before that comes I had a few questions I needed answered since I don't have an attorney I'm hoping someone can help me.

#1 My remaining bills are these
    ------------------------------
Citibank Stafford Loan ($755) - Took out in April 2005
Sallie Mae Private Student Loan ($5890) - Taken December 2000, mom cosigned
City of EHT ($310) - Traffic Violation in February
2005 Income Tax Debt ($2502) - Error by Tax Preparer
City of Brigantine ($313 - Traffic Violation in June
Sprint ($818) - Cellphone, billed before I filed
Travelers Insurance ($414) - Balance of previous Auto Insurance

Is there anything I can do now or after to discharge to GET RID of these. I know some are staying put like the Sallie Mae since my mom cosigned and whatever but It would benefit me drastically if theres a strategy to get rid of these, be it if I have to send them a copy of my discharge or something else

#2 Last time I checked my credit report 7/20 on Experian it said that my credit score was a 520 and it had all my bills saying"included in bankruptcy" but it didn't say discharged through bankruptcy. After my discharge how long before the credit bureaus have them saying "discharge through bankruptcy and will my score go up some more because 520 doesnt seem right.

#3 I'm looking at getting this secured credit card from Bank of America
Explore a variety of credit cards including cash back, lower interest rate, travel rewards, cards to build your credit and more. Find the credit card that's right for you and apply online today.

Has anyone used this before or do you recommend any other credit card for people coming out of bankruptcy. I had an account with Orchard but I don't think they would take me back since I put them in my bankruptcy list. Same thing with Capital One

These are both student loans. Even if your mom hadn't cosigned one of them, the chances of you being able to discharge them in bankruptcy is so near to zero, it isn't funny. You are going to be paying these back.

City of EHT ($310) - Traffic Violation in February
City of Brigantine ($313 - Traffic Violation in June
Traffic violations cannot be discharged in bankruptcy. You are going to be paying this back too.

2005 Income Tax Debt ($2502) - Error by Tax Preparer
This tax debt is too new to be discharged through bankruptcy. Another one you get to pay. Contact the IRS to set up a payment plan.

Sprint ($818) - Cellphone, billed before I filed
If you had included this on your creditor's list, it could have been discharged. Most state bk courts have stated that if a creditor is left off the creditors list when you file, that debt will be discharged anyway. You can try sending them a copy of your discharge.

Travelers Insurance ($414) - Balance of previous Auto Insurance
Do you still drive a car? If yes, is it insured by this company or a different one?

After bankruptcy 520 is a typical credit score. After discharge the accounts will all still say "included in bankruptcy" or "IIB" because that's the truth.

You aren't even discharged yet and you are looking for new credit. With your credit score and a recently discharged bankruptcy, you aren't likely to get any card that is a good deal. The APR will be very high and/or there will be an outrageous annual fee to pay. Slow down. Learn to live within your means first. Then start applying for new credit.

If they were included then you should contact them using the number in the mailing and indicate they were included in the bankruptcy. Give them the case number, district filed and chapter. That should stop collection efforts except from the ones lrprn points out in their comments.

I wouldn't try calling any of them. I would send them a certified letter containing a copy of the official notice that you filed Bankruptcy, let them catch up from there, by the time they catch up hopefully you will have been discharged!
