Don't worry, your case won't be dismissed for this. The grounds for dismissal are narrow and well-defined. They include:
Failure to take the courses.
Failure to properly submit the entire petition.
Failure to pay the fees.
Fraud.
Failure to provide background paperwork requested by the Court.
And so on.
Mistakes can be corrected, the trustee or judge will tell you what to do. Or your attorney. You should probably ask about this before your 341 meeting, and actually - don't be afraid to ask the Trustee. It shows you are trying to do a good job of things.
I was looking at the NOLO guidebook and it says that I need to submit my tax returns to the trustee 7 days before the 341 meeting!
The meeting is in 7 days! I guess that means I need to submit those today!
Should I call the trustee? I may be able to go home and get them!
Crap, I have bad feeling my case is gonna get dismissed!
Don't think your case is going to be dismissed, please stay postive. Just get those taxes out today, usually they will mail you a list of things they need. We got our list about 2 weeks ago, though I think it is the default list because it did not address us by name. we need 2-3 months bankstatemens, 6 months paystubs, 2 years of tax returns, copy of car registration and insurance. Just the basic.
Sweetie, please don't be nervous, you will be fine. Call the courts and ask them about the ssn issue. They have people there to answer your questions, but you have to ask to be transfered or ask for a contact number. You can also sign up for one of those cheap prepared legal services they have BK lawyers to answer your questions.
I remember being nervous about the Credit Counseling Course, that is funny now but I was so nervous and it was a piece of cake on I did it online. But of all the simple things to be nervous about.
Wow, I just noticed we filed on the same day... I have no idea why my meeting is schedule for the third week of August but I heard it is back up big time out here. The foreclosure rate is so high, it is a mess out here.

It's possible you can call the clerk of the bankruptcy court in your district. Sometimes if it's a simple question they can answer it for you, or give you the number of those that can.
Your case will not get dismissed over an account number. There are specific reasons for dismissals so please do not panic over thinking otherwise. Take a moment, breathe and relax. It can be corrected if it's even an issue at all. At most you may have to amend schedule F to only show the last 4 digits of the account number since it is also your ssn. The best thing you can do is call your local courts/trustee's office and find out how they would handle this type of situation. Either way....do not worry. This is a minor thing.
I would go ahead and fax those returns to the trustee today just to be on the safe side of things, if you can't get it done today, do it first thing tomorrow.
Gather up all the things you will need for your 341 that you normally do not carry on you. Have that ready to go. You wouldn't believe the amount of people that get this far and forget to bring the required documents to the 341 and therefore have it continued. It's a simple thing to remember, but obviously to some it's simple to forget.
Good luck!

I didn't file pro se so I couldn't answer your question really. I know personally with our case using a lawyer we turned everything over to him from the start and he held it until it was needed for the trustee. Maybe someone who has filed pro se and completed their bk can come along and offer some better advice on this.
Freshstart has a good idea, it's really impossible for us to say what will be acceptable in your districts court, as what maybe be okay in one district may not be in another. You can call the court and ask them if it is acceptable to turn everything over at once or not.

Yep, that's what I did - the court ladies were very nice. We went over the entire checklist for everything that was needed for the petition, and what was needed for the Trustee.
I filed exactly what she had on her list, and asked her when to file the rest. She said to hold onto it and bring it to the 341 meeting. This is in my state, other states may be different.
Get friendly with your Court Ladies. They're there to help. They were like a bunch of Moms and Grammas. Not scary at ALL.
that is so true, I love those girls up there. They are ones that told me about the ssn and other things. They went over my paperwork and told me everyting looked great. They will answer most of your question but they will first give you the disclaimer " we are not lawyers and can not give you legal advice" But they will tell you want to do and how to do it. They don't judge you, they make a very nervous person calm.

Good advice, I have been trying to find the toll free number for my district but nothing yet. I sure do appreciate your help, even when I have a stupid question... It doesn't seem stupid when I ask but I feel it is after the fact. Thanks all!

did they ask for it??? You should call the clerk and find out what you need to send to your trustee before the meeting, Where I live our paperwork has to be in 7 days before the meeting and they gave us a list of stuff we needed.
