pacer question

    pacer question

    hi all..
    my 341 meeting is monday.. and i am very very nervous. This is probably the most stressful time of my life.
    i checked pacer and it says i pass the means test. Is this official? or is it just submitted by lawyer? origionally my lawyer said i might have to file a chapter 13 because my income was too high. but after all expenses are paid my monthly net income is $10.

    You will be fine, from all the people I spoke to the meeting is very fast. stay positive and do not listen to anything negative. In order to even be considered for chapter 7 you have to have passed the means test, you would have known before it was submitted to courts.

    As far as high income, don't worry about it. I check old files in pacer there are people that was over the median by almost $20,000 and discharged and closed chapter 7, this year. If you have no assets then there should be no problems, if you have assets sometimes the trustees look a little deeper.

        Can you tell me what "pacer" is? My wife's attorney has already filed her Ch. 7 petition, but didn't tell her anything about "pacer." Is this something I need to be monitoring?
