    This is weird

Okay....for the last month I have been getting pre approval notices in the mail for guaranteed financing on a late model, low mileage car.

The letters state...no BK discharge is necessary at time of delivery...(whatever that means). I'm not even at the 30 days into exemption objections from creditors, and yet I'm getting these offers from local car dealers.

Also I'm getting letters just about everyday from CC outfits offering me anywhere from $300 to $30000 in credit on their Visa/MC cards.

Not that I want to get anywhere near a credit card these days, but what the hell?

    Anybody else get these offers?

All the time ! You are in the "new market," the creditors know you are "open for business." Now that you have no debt, they want to start over with you or new companies want to try their hand. Auto dealers are willing to finance you because they can and will give you a high interest rate - something like 25% ! Be careful with those CC offers offering you from $300 to $30,000. Often times with the ones offering you $300 you end up paying about that much to have their credit card!

    Best of Luck, CMIYC

The first week after the filing I got nothing. Last week I got a CC offer, and this week another CC offer and a paper inviting me to the bankruptcy sell for cars at some auction. I kinda tossed the papers, they want to get us hooked again...we have to say no.

Thanks all, and Minny I absolutely understand what you are saying, and I totally agree.

I have about worn my poor shredder out with these offers.

I do plan to rebuild my credit, but it will be very slowly and carefully done. This is one of my life's lessons I do intend to learn from.

You will continue to receive these cc offers because they know you cannot legally file bankruptcy again for 7 to 10 years!!! Beware! Easy credit is what got most of us in trouble in the first place.

I got an offer for a new car just a few days after I filed, and this same company keeps sending those about once per week, in different envelopes each time so I don't know what it is and I get conned into opening it before I throw it away.

I haven't gotten any credit card offers yet, but I still have 30-some days before discharge.
