    Thank you EVERYONE for the support you have given me during this process! I checked PACER today and we have been granted our DISCHARGE!!!

    I am sooooooo happy right now, and thankful for this opportunity to have a second chance with our finances.

    We still have a hearing scheduled for 7/25/07 regarding the reaffirmation for my car (I think the court may deny the reaffirmation due to our schedules being negative). Does the hearing have to be complete before our case is closed?

    Can anything happen between discharge and closing? Our Trustee filed the Report of No Distribution right after our 341 so I'm hoping this is it. What is the difference between discharge and closing?

                    Yes.

                    Since your trustee declared your case to be no assets to distribute, only if something hidden before now, a charge of fraud, or if your trustee requests to see your latest tax returns (all very unlikely) will stop your case from closing.

                    What is the difference between discharge and closing?

                      Thanks!!! That was a great post! Very informative! I have not hidden anything so I guess I just wait for the court to decide if I can reaffirm my car. That's in 2 weeks... not too long. At least we got our discharge!!! Yippee!!!
