Hey guys I got a quick questions for you all. I filed a Ch 7 in the beggining of June and my 341 is scheduled for July 17. I had originally told the attorney that I wanted to reaffirm and keep the car, now I want to surrender it. Its on a loan with an apr of 28.9% and I have a car I could use in the meantime. How hard would this be to do or am I pretty much stuck with it since I originally told them to reaffirm? Any help is appreciated and Thanks IN advance.

I just received notice from my bk court and it stated you can change you mind at any time before the Bk is closed.Success is reachable, stretch out your arm and grab it. -
It sounds like you just stated you intent to reaffirm but didn't actuallly sign. In that case you are free to surrender your car.Chapter 7 Pro Se....Discharged Feb. 2006Comment

Just tell the attorney that you now want to surrender it he can change the statement of intent to surrender you should be fine.Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.Comment

At our 341, the Trustee told us we could change our mind on surrenduring our home or vehicle at any time before we're discharged.
