JR, we are in Raleigh. We just moved from Western NC--Asheville--last year for better paying jobs and lower cost of living. Let me know how your 341 went.

Mine went really smooth. It was in Wilkesboro.

      Only lasted about 2 minutes.

When he called all the 10 o clock appointments, the Trustee had everyone affirm at the same time that they were who they were. (One guy was late.....I wouldn't suggest being late.....)

He then asked everyone as a group to affirm that if their were changes that had occurred we would all tell him of them.

Then he started calling groups by lawyers. Starting the the lawyers with the fewest cases that hour up til the one with the most (who was my lawyer).

Most of my lawyers peeps obeyed the little rules he gave us (except the late guy....)

He did folks in alphabetical order (well except the late guy cause when he came to that one he said, you're last and set the file aside......)

Couple more folks after the late fella being told he was last it was my turn. Got up, shook hands with my lawyer, acknowledged his paralegal.

      Trustee asked very simple questions.

      Has there been any changes?

Did you look over the papers after they were prepared?

      Where they correct?

He then turned to my lawyer and asked.

      Do you expect any disbursement?

He then turned my paper over onto his growing stack, thanked me and wished me luck. On to call the next person (who still wasn't he who was designated last....)

Court Appearance rules as provided by my lawyer:

      1. Do not bring electronic devices (headsets, cellphones, etc) to court.
      2. Do not bring children to court (one of the other lawyer's folks brought a child to court, it was kinda disruptive, he interrupted his normal sequence to get them out of the courtroom and didn't seem to pleased about it).
      3. Dress casually, don't go buy new suit or dress. Just wear something like if you was going to the movies or out to eat.
      4. Do not wear expensive looking jewelry. (A modest watch, modest earrings, wedding band...)
      5. Be courteous to the court at all times.
      6. Bring Photo ID and SSN.
      7. DO NOT BE LATE (this was even in bold and was actually his number 1 rule....and yep that one guy didn't listen.....)

I kinda wished I'd stayed and seen what happened to the late guy, but like most folks I wanted to get out of the courthouse soon as I could
May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
      July 2nd, 2007: 341 Meeting Held
September 4th, 2007: Discharged and Closed.

Thanks Cindylynn...I surely will. I appreciate the advice. It's pretty much what I told my attorney to tell them.
